The Daytona Beach Boardwalk is host to a very photogenic view.  The hotels that separate the beach from A1A create a very diverse skyline to contrast the beautiful Atlantic Ocean on the other side of the Boardwalk.  At this time the boardwalk seems to be growing with a recent addition of a mild roller coaster.  The Ferris Wheel take you up to the hotel skyline to view at distance and the ocean opens up to at the top of the Ferris Wheel to give you a good chance at spotting migrating marine life.  If you are hungry while visiting the boardwalk, it is likely this will not last long.  You can grab snacks directly on the boardwalk, the seafood restaurant on the pier, or walk to the restaurants toward the North end of the boardwalk located in the Ocean Walk Shoppes.

Although Daytona Beach is known by many from far away as the beach you can drive your vehicle directly onto the hard packed sand, this area located behind the boardwalk is actually one of the rare limited areas where vehicles are not permitted.  This allows beach-goers to really pack the beach on beautiful days as you can see here.
